I travelled to Riverside, CA for the Drum Corps International west coast show held on June 21, 2009. I had published my previous videos of SCV’s brass line and drumline and there was already a buzz of interest in some videos from the next show, so I set out to find the Blue Devils.
I brought along my Canon 5D Mark II and recorded some great footage of the busy Riverside parking lot by the Blue Devils brass line. I captured one exercise and one chunk of the show, as they warm up for their show. Apologies about the audio quality, I was just using the on board Canon 5D microphone for this one.
This is an exercise followed by some nice strong chords by the BD brass line. What’s that? It didn’t quench your thirst for fresh drum corps? Here’s another BD video of a show chunk from the brass line.
