Rance travels to New York City to produce WCG USA’s Finals event stream

It’s always fun getting to travel for things that don’t seem like work, and this past weekend was one of those trips. New York City and the Javits Center have been one of my favorite business destinations in the last few years, as I’ve traveled there four times in two years for gaming. This time around, the 2009 WCG USA Finals was held at the New York Anime Festival.

Smeagol was kind enough to call me when it was time for a stream technician, and we used uStream’s technology to provide a low-cost streaming platform for their National Championship tournament. Rance films TheStream.tv’s 1000th episode red carpet celebration

Brian Gramo of TheStream.tv contacted me to bring my Sony V1U out to film at his red carpet celebration. I set out to film about an hour of footage for him from within Level 3 Night Club at Hollywood & Highland in Hollywood, CA. I also brought along my Canon 5D Mark II to grab some artsy insert shots using it’s amazing low-light performance. I will write about the clip once it’s edited out, until then you’re stuck with almost 300 images taken at the red carpet celebration by Kelly True, Hailey Bright and myself on my 5D Mark II. Enjoy!
